Sport of this week – Lacrosse!

Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing sports in the Netherlands. It comes from North America, where it was originally played by Natives. There are two different versions of the sport, one for men and one for women. Both are fast and tactical, but men’s lacrosse is a physical sport played with protective gear. Lacrosse contains elements from basketball, hockey and American football, and can be picked up easily by anyone.

Lacrosse Groningen Gladiators is a young association that combines two weekly trainings on Monday and Wednesday evenings with a vibrant social life and an international atmosphere. Training is given in English, and about 30% of our members are internationals. With monthly drinks and activities, the club has a lot to offer its members outside of the sport. Membership costs are low, and all gear is provided by the club!

If you want to give lacrosse a shot, join an open training or sign up here for the ACLO course.

Take a look at our website https://lacrossegroningen.nl  or send us an email at info@lacrossegroningen.nl if you have any more questions or want to join a training!
