G.S.R. ‘Aegir’

At Aegir ‘race rowing’ as well as ‘competitive rowing’ is possible. Race rowers spend at least 6 hours a week on the water or on land, training for one goal only: to reach the top of the country in the national competitions! However, there is a lot more to Aegir than rowing alone which makes it a traditional, fun and versatile club. Join Aegir and become a part of it all!

A.G.S.R. Gyas

Gyas has more than 750 members, which makes it the largest sports club for students in the north of the Netherlands. Even without any rowing experience, it’s possible to participate at an international level within a few years. Besides rowing, Gyas organizes get-togethers, parties, bootenhuyschmaaltijden (‘boathouse meals’), and many other social activities for recreational rowers.
