Healthy ageing
ACLO wants to help students to become older in a healthy way. But how? To discover this, we will take a survey under the students. Course-enrollment for period 2A
The course-enrollment for course period 2A is open from the 27th of October until the 7th of November 2014. In the weekend of 8 November you will receive a message with the results of the lottery. When you receive a place in one of our courses you will have to pay your deposit of €10,- online or at our information desk before 6 PM on 12 November. If you don’t do this you will lose your place in the course and that place will become available for the post-enrollment. You can sign up for the post-enrollment until 4 PM the day before the course starts.
KISS
On Wednesday the 17th of November the annual KISS event will take place at the ACLO. This year KISS will focus on health and light: thus having the theme KISS “Light”. During KISS several workshops, sport tournaments and special general hours will be organized. You can participate in the workshops, tournaments and general hours by enrolling yourself. You can do this by writing your name on the registration lists that you will find in the hall of the Sports Centre. More information about registration and the sports during KISS will be published on the ACLO website and on the ACLO Facebook page.
The 22st edition of the Lauwersloop
The 22th edition of the Lauwersloop will be held on 30th of May 2015. Do you want to conquer the 115 km long parcours between Leeuwarden, Lauwersoog and Groningen with a team of 18 persons? Do you want to finish first on the Grote Markt of Groningen or do you want to participate in the run as an individual runner? This is possible! After the run, there will be a party in the center of Groningen for all the participants to celebrate your accomplishment!
From the 1st of November it is possible to subscribe your team for €195,- on the website www.lauwersloop.nl. Individual runners can register for the run on the registration lists that will be in the hall of the Sports Centre.
The 43th edition of the batavierenrace
On the 25th of April 2015 the Batavierenrace will again be held. Thousands of students will travel to Enschede to take part in this amazing race. Would you also like to compete in the Batavierenrace with a team? In the night of the 6th on to the 7th of November at 00.00 AM the registration for the event will open on the Batavierenrace homepage. If you want to participate enroll immediately: there is a limited capacity.
Sport awards 2013-2014
The sport season 2013-2014 is already over, however not completely finished until the ACLO Sport Awards are granted at the ACLO Sports Gala in February! This year the four categories are: sports club, team, sportsman/sportswoman and trainer/coach of the year! The winners will receive a cheque worth €200,-. You can send your nomination before the 1st of December 2014 to voorzitter@aclosport.nl.
