After the GNSK comes the European University Games, which are currently being held in Zagreb (Croatia). Of the 22 sports, students of the University of Groningen participate in volleyball, basketball, badminton and beachvolleyball. The EUG is a big event on a high level in which over 5.000 students participate (of which 200 dutch students).
