Sport of the week: ice skating!

Tjas is known as the association with “the best butts of Groningen” We keep those in shape on the ice of Kardinge in the winter twice a week or more for the more experienced skaters. There’s a suitable training available for every level so even if this is your first time on the ice, you can still join us! In the summer you can participate in off-ice training sessions where we combine a running training with workouts focused on the muscles needed for skating. On top of that there’s a cycling training once a week. To test your speed you can also participate in competitions.

Note that Tjas is a Dutch association with Dutch as the common language. However, we all speak English 🙂 so you can join the training and competitions if you do not speak Dutch!

But there’s more to Tjas than just sports. We also have a weekly social event and other activities which are currently online but normally they take place in our favourite bar De Walrus.
