SPORT OF THE WEEK: ROUNDNET (SPIKEBALL)

Did you know that the sport that many people know as 'Spikeball' is actually called 'Roundnet'? We, De Graancirkel, see it as our mission to introduce Roundnet to the world (well, at least to all the students in Groningen).

At the ACLO, there are multiple ways to learn Roundnet – join one of the ACLO introductory courses (ironically called 'Spikeball'), borrow a net from the front desk, or join one of the trainings or pick-up games organized by the organization (check out our Instagram account). As you can see, there are plenty of ways to play!

Within our association we welcome both international and Dutch students, and all trainings and events are free of obligation. This makes our association ideal for people who are looking for an accessible association with fun trainings and social activities, but also for people who want to quickly improve in a new and upcoming sport!

On December 8th we are organizing a tournament for beginners. Experience is not required, because we will give a short clinic of 45 minutes beforehand. The ideal way to learn a new sport and have fun! Register via the link in the bio of the Roundnet Groningen Instagram account.
