Horse Riding

During the horse riding course you will learn the basics of horse riding. You will learn how the lead your horse in the right direction, how to independently walk, trot and gallop and for the true talents there might be a possibility to join a beginners jumping lesson. Beside this, you will also learn how to prepare your horse for riding before the start of the lesson.

The course will take place at riding school Manege de Bongerd (Rijksstraatweg 132, Glimmen). There is a busstop (called Rijksstraatweg 136) close to the riding school where line 50 stops. You can also get there by bike or car.

During the lesson it is mandatory to wear a cap and riding gloves. A cap can be borrowed from the riding school, but gloves you will have to bring yourself. Please make sure these are not to thick, like skiing glove, as this will get in the way of horse riding. Besides this, make sure to wear firm shoes with a small elevated heel and pants that are tight and don’t have seams. Shoes can also be borrowed from the riding school.
