ACLO Lead Climbing course
Are you able to climb 5c and are you ready for your next climbing step? Sign up for the lead climbing course!
It is possible to sign up from Monday May 8 until Sunday May 14 at the Climbing wall at the ACLO (paper). There are 9 spots available (in case of more than 9 participants there will be a draw).
Furthermore, to be accepted for the course you must meet all of the following conditions: we expect you to be present every lesson, be on time and be able to climb 5c. The course will be held at ACLO and Bjoeks. On the Thursday 1st and 8th of June at the ACLO from 20.00 till 22.30 and Saturday 10th and Sunday 11th of June at Bjoeks from 10.00 to 12.30. The Entry fee of Bjoeks is not included in the course.
In 4 intensive lessons you’ll learn:
- Safely belaying a lead climber with different belay devices
- Clipping correctly
- Commands in lead climbing
- Dealing with a lead fall
- Dealing with rope
- Judging the safety of a lead situation and acting accordingly
