Snooker Course
Have you seen on TV people in neat suits walking around a big green table while occasionally playing balls in holes? That’s Snooker! We’re going to teach you how you can pot a ball and who knows, you might just clear the table! If you would like to try this out, sign up for period 4B! Suits are not required!
What is the content of the course?
During the five lessons you will learn the basics of snooker. Think of:
– The rules and concepts.
– Basic technique (body position, speed of the ball, bumping straight, potting balls that are in front of the pocket).
– Basic effect balls (backspin, stun/stop shots and topspin).
– Basics of ball potting (how to determine the hitting point, practice/drill: potting all colors with ball-in-hand).
– Potting balls with a competitive element.
– Defensive play (laying a snooker).
– Position play, making a break (how do I get the white ball right for my next shot so I stay on the turn and pot multiple balls).
– How do you play a good break off?
– Match play with modified rules.
– We conclude each lesson with a trick shot.
The above is a very brief summary of what is covered during the course. We will do our best to adapt the lessons to your wishes and level.

The course includes a table, balls and other snooker material. You don’t have to bring anything with you.
