What is Ice skating?

Skating is a sport where the goal is to cover a certain distance on the ice as quickly as possible.

Topic

A five-week skating course can be taken via the ACLO on the ice rink of the Kardinge sports center. The course is intended for novice skaters. The group is divided based on level and receives training from expert trainers. During the training, the technique of skating is central.

Gloves and a skating helmet are mandatory for this course. It is possible to participate on your own skates or to rent skates at the ice rink (for a fee of €6,- per time, a skating helmet can be rented for a fee of €2,- per time). The course can only be participated in with long track skates, so not with hockey or figure skates. Helmets other than a skating helmet are also not allowed.

Participation in the course is free. You can register via the ACLO app. Look here for an overview of the course periods.
