What is Trail Running?

Trail running is a form of running that takes place on off-road trails, such as forest routes or hilly terrain.

Topic

During the 5-week course you will walk in various places around Groningen to become acquainted with different types of surfaces (mud and clay, loose sand, height differences, etc.). Various topics will be discussed, such as clothing and footwear, different materials, basic training physiology and running training. The goal of the training is not to run as many kilometers as possible. The course will consist of clinics and no training. There will be as much differentiation as possible in load between the different participants, which makes this course suitable for both beginners and advanced students!

Participants must be able to run at least 2,5 kilometers at a leisurely pace prior to the course. There will be a minimum of 5 km run each lesson.
