What is Gliding?

Gliding is an aviation activity that uses aircraft without engines to fly. You use upward air currents such as thermals and slope winds.

Topic

Have you ever wished you could fly as freely as a bird? This is possible with this one-day course, offered by NNZC. During this course you make two flights to learn the basics of gliding.

Important points about this course:

  • For this course you pay a personal contribution of €60. You pay this in the app prior to the course, you will not get these costs back!
  • Due to a language barrier, it is not possible for international students to participate in the course.
  • Take sunscreen, sunglasses and a bottle of water with you, there is little shade at an airport.
  • Bring a jacket and a sweater, it can also be quite cold.
  • 100 kg is the maximum weight for participation in the course.
  • If it is not possible to make two flights, one or more flights may be moved to the next course day.

If the course is offered in the upcoming period, you can register for it via the ACLO app. If you participate in the course, keep a close eye on your email. We will contact you this way about the exact locations.
