Our story
The ACLO stands for the Academic Center for Physical Education and was founded in 1945. Until 2001, the ACLO was only for students of the University of Groningen, but since 2001 the Hanze has also been affiliated with the ACLO. The ACLO determines the sports offering for the students of these two educational institutions. The ACLO is also the largest umbrella student sports organization in the Netherlands! The ACLO also represents Groningen student sports at a national level by being affiliated with Studentensport Nederland.
advisory Board
The ACLO has an Advisory Board (RvA) that provides the current Executive Directors with advice on topics that the Executive Board deems necessary. These topics range from, for example, policy adjustments to event design. Below is an overview of the RvA members of 2023-2024:
